You also have to take in account that I could be making a whole lot more if I lived in a different area (cali) then were I am now (MN). So, how can we figure that out?

You know what's funny to me is that people always assume that they pay more for the same jobs in the more expensive areas, but in my experience, its just not true.

I think that there tends to be a larger percentage of more technical jobs and jobs that require a higher education, but for the average workers, I have not seen a vast difference in wage from Cali to the more rural areas.

I know for my line of work (government contracting, engineering) the pay is the same everywhere. I am just willing to have lower living standards in order to afford living here.

absolutely true, my cousin's husband is a carpenter and they are raising four children. if they lived here in cali they would never make it but since they live in oklahoma and the cost of living is much lower with a similar pay scale they can afford to live in something other than a box.

I'll be 21 in Sept, and I make nearly 30k. However in 6 months that will most likely at least double. Im still considered a recruit, even though I have been working for this company for almost 6 months.

I received a contract through Diamond Shamrock when they were purchasing "Stop N Go" stores across South Central Texas.

Heh, that's funny man. I actually turned that contract down (I believe it was 5yrs ago, but could be +/-1 or 2) because of some of the line-items in the contract they refused to remove.

Well,

If it weren't for you turning that down, I never would have made that much money, therefore never saying "I think I will join the military, since I already have some money saved up (they don't pay well anyway).. and then I never would have met my wife..

So thank you.

Seeing that the price he was selling the tickets for was upwards of $6,000 a seat it wouldn't be difficult to generate that kind of cash. I really doubt he paid anywhere near that much to purchase them.

In construction, California has a lot more to offer. I was in California most of last year because of it building stores, mainly in malls. I cannot believe how many malls there are in Cali, even new construction!

Normally I would agree but considering the source, Cartman has always been known for stretching the truth to makehimself look important. He has always had a hard on for himself and his "accomplishments". I just want to see a w2 and then I will be own3d.
