the ip address given to you by the isp is trackable and the person whose name is on that contract is the one taking the risk. for examle: if you have internet because of your dorm or apartment or something then who ever is legally responsible for that is at risk. that is exaclty why i gave my roommate a choice when the law suits started...stop downloading music/movies or i will cancel the internet and you can get it in your name.
ok except its usually the ones that are uploading or hosting that are getting in trouble, not the downloaders! Way to fall victim to their scare tactics!
