yet i see DVD's for sale at target for $7.50. cd's never seem to go below $9.99... now i understand that the movie production companies have their initial investment money re-couped via the theaters, but the percieved value of a DVD is considerablly higher than a CD. people are not going to want to pay more for a cd than they do for a movie. also, artists have tours to make money on.
