ok after 4_ hours in the search feature I am as lost as when I started.

1.) What is "DMD"?
2.) what is(are) the correct part #(s) for a '99 SVT to correct the right turn oil problem?
3.) recommended vendor for the Oil pan replacement/upgrade parts?
4.)other than the water pump (metal impeller upgrade) what else should I look at over th weekend after i pick up the '99 on thursday?

1. Dual Mass Damper - A great NVH mod

4. 3rd gear grind ($$$ to fix!)
Change all the fluids. YES all 5 of them!

There is no simple answer for the oil starvation problem. Evidently the problem is that the oil does not drain down from the heads very fast so there is very little oil in the pan at sustained high rpm. This is agrivated if you take a long speeping right hand turn at sustained high rpm. It wasnever resolved onthe 2.5, but the 3.0, at least the later ones, were redesigned for better drainage.

The revised pan makes little or no difference.

An Accusump will provide additional oil when the system runs low.

I don't know if anyone has made any attempt to improve the head drains in a 2.5. It would be interesting to study both heads to see if it would be a reasonable modification. I'm sure that if it could be done, it would need to be done with the heads off the engine.

i've got an extra set of 2.5 heads if anyone wants to try it


98.5 Black SE ATX S&B filter, SVT MAF, optimized SVT TB, mesh grille, removed orange reflectors, painted rear reflector, gutted pre-cats, optimized SVT LIM, 19lb injectors, resonator removed cant afford an svt but lookin for 1 in nc
