There is no simple answer for the oil starvation problem. Evidently the problem is that the oil does not drain down from the heads very fast so there is very little oil in the pan at sustained high rpm. This is agrivated if you take a long speeping right hand turn at sustained high rpm. It wasnever resolved onthe 2.5, but the 3.0, at least the later ones, were redesigned for better drainage.
The revised pan makes little or no difference.
An Accusump will provide additional oil when the system runs low.
I don't know if anyone has made any attempt to improve the head drains in a 2.5. It would be interesting to study both heads to see if it would be a reasonable modification. I'm sure that if it could be done, it would need to be done with the heads off the engine.
