you guys say that the turbo is the best thing for the tour, but as stated before in this post, those in CA can not have the turbo due to the smog laws. I think that the debate also must include where one lives because like said here you cannot have it unless it is CARB legal.

Regardless of whether its legal in CA, the turbo still makes more power under the curve and is more reliable than the Vortech kit.

i am glad i live in the "great state" ( ) of SC...we do not have any emissions testing and every single gas station has 93 readily available...and alot actually have 100 too!

Exactly.

Think of all the V6 Contours. Contours being a car no longer made, naturally.

Then think of all the owners. (demographics)

Then think of how many of those owners would actually want and/or afford a Supercharger + spending the time and money on testing/tuning to make it work right.

The money involved in mass fabricating the parts, training/hiring people for technical support/customer service, as well as warranty coverage for a car with relatively small productions already, as well as no longer produced, would more than likely outweigh whatever they sell for a company that can literally make millions elsewhere with less trouble and continued growth... especially when you take into account what the Contour is: a small, wrong wheel drive, extinct, sedan. Not a sportcar or wildly popular import.

Case in point: Mustangs.

I'm not saying a smaller company, like ADC did, shouldn't pursue it. They could probably make a decent amount of money by offering it to us just like custom part makers for other obsolete cars do. But a company like Vortech has very little to gain in the grand scheme of things.

the ADC kit is for the V6 5 speed contour/mystiques only.
