My father-in-law is having a lot of problems with his truck and I am pretty much the only one he can get to work on it. So he is having to come this weekend so I can pretty much overhaul it for him. Which I don't mind doing! He has really helped us a lot over the last year and without him, we would pretty much be on the street, so doing a bunch of work on his truck is the least I can do for him.
Ok guys....question. Given the current situation with some not being able to make it this weekend, would it be easier to change the date to Memorial Day weekend or some other time this summer or fall to give everyone a chance to get ready and be able to make it?
If we do want to change the meet date, for those who are able to make it, do you guys want to hang out on Sat. and go have some BBQ?
Dats cool Big Phil. Yeah guys I thinking this meet may be a bust. Lemmie know if you guys want to postpone it. It won't be that hard to do. I could try again to get a Memorial Day meet going with ALA Jubilee. That is always fun. Big hot air balloons LOTS of Classic cars, fireworks, Hot Sun, Live Music and more. Who knows...maybe we can get the group together and show off the cars in a car show there with the big guys orrrrrr off the side somewhere. Believe me tho, The Memorial Day Meet is a DEFINITE BBQ Event especially with the fact that you can bring your own grill into the park and lots of people do....the smells and sights are awesome!!! The park will fill up from EARLY EARLY in the morning to watch the balloons fill up and take off and "race" and then its all day long, cars start to come in rumbling the park then the food kicks up and the vendors come out. Bands get underway and people fly kites and just hang out in the sun or shade. It is a lot of fun.
If this date is better on all concerned, I say lets postpone. We can still have some of the remaining crew come down for BBQ at Big Bob's in Decatur and we can do some shooting of the breeze and we can go do some driving as well.
Lemmie know, okie dokie??
