Hey hey boys n girls. I had schedule issues at work, so I would only be able to make it for Friday night. Bummer, cuz I wanted to put my 75hp block on the rollaz. BUT a change in the schedule and guess what?!?! Michelle and I will be there Friday and Saturday! Which means: Drag time, Dyno time, BBQ time...ummm what else...Oh yeah!!! Guess who's also off Thursday? Diz showdy. Which means: ALL DAY DETAIL JOB before we come down. Shiney shiney. The whip might look different; I've somehow amassed a lot of Meguiar's products as my Zaino stocks run low. So Thursday, it's Meguiar's day: Zaino clay bar Zaino car wash Meguiar's paint cleaner Zaino car wash Meguiar's NXT wax Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax and Zaino detail spray as needed I'd like to see how Meguiar's takes to my paint.

Awww, you guys rock! Hector, are you sure you guys can't make it???? We will make sure that Kim is comfortable and remember we can all pitch in and help with the car. But if not, its cool we will see you in the fall
Absolutely there will be at least one in the fall. Tell you what. I will start figuring out now how to coordinate a meet for NOPI Nats in Sept.... orrrrrrrrr.....who knows...
I will re-call Trackmasters again and see what we need to do and check on the burning for Eric...

Guys... Man I am so sorry to say this, but some stuff has come up and we will not be able to make it. My father-in-law is having a lot of problems with his truck and I am pretty much the only one he can get to work on it. So he is having to come this weekend so I can pretty much overhaul it for him. Which I don't mind doing! He has really helped us a lot over the last year and without him, we would pretty much be on the street, so doing a bunch of work on his truck is the least I can do for him. Then, on top of that, I have to get some more tires for my ride. After installing the camber caster plates a few month or so back, the spring sheilds bent when going over a bump and nearly shreaded a brand new pair of my H4S's! So those have to be replaced, as well as new brakes. So, as you can see... My plate is pretty full this weekend. It sucks because we were so looking forward to hanging with everyone, but these are things that I have to get done. Hopefully, I can get at least an hour in at the car show this weekend. Last year they had a ton of cool rides there. So if everything works out, timin wise, while I am getting my father-in-laws and my rotors turned at O'Rielys I can run down to the show and take some pics for everyone.

Ok guys....question. Given the current situation with some not being able to make it this weekend, would it be easier to change the date to Memorial Day weekend or some other time this summer or fall to give everyone a chance to get ready and be able to make it?
If we do want to change the meet date, for those who are able to make it, do you guys want to hang out on Sat. and go have some BBQ?

Dats cool Big Phil. Yeah guys I thinking this meet may be a bust. Lemmie know if you guys want to postpone it. It won't be that hard to do. I could try again to get a Memorial Day meet going with ALA Jubilee. That is always fun. Big hot air balloons LOTS of Classic cars, fireworks, Hot Sun, Live Music and more. Who knows...maybe we can get the group together and show off the cars in a car show there with the big guys orrrrrr off the side somewhere. Believe me tho, The Memorial Day Meet is a DEFINITE BBQ Event especially with the fact that you can bring your own grill into the park and lots of people do....the smells and sights are awesome!!! The park will fill up from EARLY EARLY in the morning to watch the balloons fill up and take off and "race" and then its all day long, cars start to come in rumbling the park then the food kicks up and the vendors come out. Bands get underway and people fly kites and just hang out in the sun or shade. It is a lot of fun.
If this date is better on all concerned, I say lets postpone. We can still have some of the remaining crew come down for BBQ at Big Bob's in Decatur and we can do some shooting of the breeze and we can go do some driving as well.
Lemmie know, okie dokie??

Funny you should post that, Phil. We've got to back out, too. We found an apartment and are going to spend the better part of the weekend filling it with knick-knacks and pr0n. Sorry guys, but this weekend just doesn't seem like it'll happen. Memorial Day might work for me, but I dunno.

Ok guys. I think its pretty well decided then...we'll go ahead and cancel the meet this weekend and try again later. Go ahead and check your calendars and let's figure out a new date for the meet! If anyone/everyone is available, Memorial Day weekend would be excellent! Lots going on here that weekend!
