yes GC's can be used on other struts, but not with the best results. I've rode in a few GC equipped cars riding on stock svt struts and the other was I believe kyb's. They rode like garbage. I run Konis with my gC's and it rides nice and firm.
Where exactly do you want more ground clearance? Front and rear or just the rear? I need a little more info..I'm kinda lost
