I just wanted to know the year model and milage and what repairs have been done. I want to see how big of a trend there is. 1 It will give us some forecasting on what to expect next and 2 we can see what Ford screwed up on.

I have a 98 se 2.5 5 speed with
65,0000 (i drive alot)
I have replaced

Both front wheel bearings at 50,000
Tranny mount at 42,000
Altintator at 32,000
Sunroof motor at 42,000
Trunk Release at 42,000
Rear sway bar and end links at 42,000

93,2xx miles.

Problems: All three cats replaced (early 50's), right wheel bearing (91,xxx), tore parking brake boot (my fault, 27,xxx), rear seatbelt retractor jammed (previous owner's fault, less than 2100 mi), vacuumm hose came loose (about 10,000 mi).

That's it, except for maintenance like tires, brake pads, serpentine belt, filters and the like.

Main Cat - ~40k
Front Sway Links (real clunk noise)- ~28k
Rear Sway bar / bushing /links (misdiagnosed clunk noise)- ~27k

Non-Warranty:
O2 Sensors - 49k
Front Springs - 36 k (1 month out of warranty)
Rubber Intake Air tube torn - 52k
Leaking fuel inj. to rail seals - gas smell - ~54k

98 SE V-6 ATX: 56K miles

Airbag control unit crapped out at about 30K - replaced under warranty. Otherwise, runs like a Rolex, despite autocrossing and horrible traffic.

15k miles... Been to the dealer for the sunroof over a half dozen times.
Fixed it myself in one try (KNOCK ON WOOD) with some good advice from this site last summer.

It's still prone to melting/stripping the plastic gear though. No fix for that yet (Hightower???)

The paint (clear coat actually) on the front bumper is peeling. I got it repainted once (free at the dealer) and it didn't help...

Otherwise it's treated me very well...
