Car alarms suck... but! if you invest a lil bit of money and time into your sub-par alarms there will be more of a chance all your stuff well be left in your ride! For example, my alarm setup consists of viper 791 w/ 2 way pager! if the pager doesn't wake me up, i took it a step further as i also have a battery backup powered six tone siren under the hood, two 140DB piezo (sp?) sirens inside the car and my fog lights and interior lights come on while it's going off... So even if they cut the battery wires.. i have 3 loud a$$ sirens going off for up to 7hrs? can't remember how long the battery lasts...
