i was skimming the post untill i saw you were a jar head... heres my philosophy take em all, punks hippies tree huggers etc, train them to use a rifle and march, drop them into the middle of a combat zone with some real military men and women and see if they come out with that BS attitude they have

Your little phrase about "tree huggers" and "hippies" and punks contains so many negative connotations that I am not even going to start in about it... (not everything that you think is a bad thing IS a bad thing... ) not saying I agree nor disagree with your perpective on those particular classes of society but I really don't think lumping every one of those together, with a bad inflection.. is a smart move.. or at least not very open-minded. (shoot, I guess I DID start.. Ray

I know how that is, I had 300 cd stolen out of my girlfrinds car at our apt a couple years ago. I didn't lock the door because I thought we would go right back down there but I didn't. The next morning when she was going to work she got in the car and her cd faceplate was gone and noticed that the cd were gone too. So we went to the police and told them about it and who we thought might have done it. I lived above a 5 stahl garage and the house had about 4 apts in it. Anywho, there was this one kid who just moved in there about a month earlier. He had people coming and going all the time...we even saw him and a bunch of his freinds smoking pot outside, so we knew he was selling. I was like, do what you want as long as it doesn't effect me. Then the cd's were stolen, so I wrote a letter to my landlord about what happened. About 2 days later when I got home from school there was a undercover cop car outside the front of the apt building with a dog in it. As I walk around back there was a cop talking to some girls at the back door of the punks apt. Then a couple minutes later about 5 undercover cars show up and go inside. They are in there a while and then they bring the kid out in cuffs and the look on his face was sooooooooooooo priceless!!!!! They took about 5 paper grociery bags worth of "stuff". I was just so happy that little punk go what he deserved. About a week later he was moving out. I am glad that the landlord had a stipulation in his contract that he can search the apt whenever he wants. So the kid was screwed legally on that part. But I do miss the 300 cd's that are now gone forever. My girlfreinds insurance wouldn't pay for it either...even though she had full coverage. They said that since she had a $500 deductable it wouldn't work. I was like 300 cd's at $10 a piece (cheap for simplicity sake) that was $3000 plus her head unit. They said that they would cover a boom box in the car but not the car cd player. Weird huh? So that is why I now have the Neo Mp3 jukebox in my car....if that is stolen it is $400 compaired to $3000.

Knock on wood, but life has treated me exceptionally fair when it comes to all things, given my overall regular status in society. I have yet to be in a neighborhood with these problems. When I first bought the 'tour, I decided which route to go with; Home or Car audio. I knew a bit more about the Home systems and I saw it as a tradeoff..so I just decided to keep my car safe anyways. I'm still thankful I have an alarm on it even though I doubt I've ever needed it.
I just dropped my coverage to liability only as well, $200/mo for a non SVT car..is outrageous (on my budget). So that'll cut me some slack soon.

I am happy that I don't have to pay car insurance and I am 25...my dad does it for me. I know I am spoiled, but since I am in college he doesn't want me to have to worry about it, that and it is waaaaay cheaper this way too.
