It's $285 for the process + S/H. I am doing a 3L turbo myself which is the reason I would like to get this done. Rick Miller at Extrude Hone is the one who is going to do this. It is a new process where they flow a liquid through the UIM. This process is better than triple hone from what I read in the last GB.

Dan,

Your right about the SE but I think with a heavily moded SE the gains my be more noticable over the SVT. Also I agree with the high end/RPM gains a SVT would get are also true but will not be seen until a Chip/Tune is done. As you can see my car was still making power right into the rev limiter. The guys running the dyno said that I needed to get rev limit up to around 7500 or more to get max power out of the Extrude Hone UIM on my car. Pete's car did the same with his 3L Hybrid. But without a tune I can't really say much for the gains until I can get a full pull on the dyno without rev limiting out...so all I got is ~1 Hp and ~2 LB torque. The headers provided the best gains by far on my car so far. Optimizing TB and LIM with portmatching this winter should open up my gains a little more. Also thinking about a Tweeker to do some tuning and change those rev limits.

Some gains but probably <4-5 HP..

I have an SE and SVT heads with cams, LIM, headers & injectors to be installed, and a chip to make it all work. What-d-ya think I'll gain?

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Mid/High 160's (HP) on a Mustang dyno and Mid 170's (HP) on a Dynajet dyno to the wheels would be a good guess. That's pretty close to my car but I started with a SVT . You would also need an SVT 60mm TB and SVT MAF as well to get the close to the higher numbers SVT owners have pulled. Should net you at least 20 HP to the wheels going from the stock SE to the semi SVT modded SE would be my guess.

i was gonna post something similar to that..i have svt uim/lim/tb/19lb injectors, custom chip/..and a apexi safcII and svt cams on the way so i should see decent gains..plus 65mm tb to fool around with

It's Scott, not Dan. And yes, we went to Mt. Airy Motors, Inc Total Performance.

rac74,

I think you are talking about me (Scott) not Dan. Yes, I ran the Dyno Day last November at Total Performance in Mt. Airy http://www.totalperf.com/ I looked into EIP in Wesminster but they were not very interested and about twice the cost...we were not VW owners ?

We should coordinate. I have posted the same deal running through the Illinois facility, where is your contact plant located? We should be able to slice this up so everyone can minimize the freight associated.

I suppose I dropped the ball by getting a second string rolling. Sorry about that! Lets get it all pulled together into one effort.

This pricing is set at corporate for unit counts of 6 or more, I do not think we would have a problem utilizing all the AFM capable facilities as long as each site received 6 units or more.

The 285.00 is for the process no shipping is included in that price. So if we "regionalized" the order we could a) minimize freight costs b)utilize all of the required process facilities to hasten the turnaround (it is a slow production process)

Shoot me a PM and lets put a plan together that rolls all of this into one effort.
