Not to burst you bubble but relatively stock SVT's will see very little gains in HP/Torque (~1-2 HP and 1-2 LB torque). SE models will notice the biggest gains since they will have the biggest gain in CFM. Also ALL SVT UIM's be it 98.5, 99 or 2000 where all the same SINGLE pass extrude honethis was proved on the last GB and also verified by Rick Miller Project Manager at Extrude Hone. He is the guy that did them for FORD and will tell anyone who wants to know that this is the truththey are all the same single pass!!!
Here are my Dyno results before and after MSDS and Extrude Hone Max Flow UIM done separately to prove the gains of each mod respectively. These where also done on a Mustang Dyno so the numbers will be slightly less then you will get on a Dynojet Dyno. But the point is all the pulls where done on the same Dyno with similar temperatures on both days last Oct.- Nov.
I think your point is valid about modest gains on near stock SVTs. I think SVTs with optimzed t.body, LIM, headers, custom A/F management may do better...as would 3L. I would not assume near stock SEs would have big gains..they lack the Extrude Honed cylinder heads, big t.body, LIM, cams to make high RPM power where this mod likely has the best payoff... Some gains but probably <4-5 HP..
I will add Extrude Hone service is excellent. I was part of earlier GB and wanted port matching. I returned the thing and they hogged it way out (all the way, not just the ports which is what I expected) for no additional fee.
