99svtContourMan, You should stick with a good, lightweight set of 17â? wheels. I have 18â? wheels on my GLI and Iâ??m glad theyâ??re forged BBSs, otherwise they would have been dented at least a dozen times or more by now. And Iâ??ve only had the car for 7 months!
By the way, whatever size wheel you buy make sure that you pick the correct offset and a tire that is as close to stock in diameter as possible; that is how you will avoid rubbing.
