The rods are forged powdered metal.
They have a much closer tolerance then any type of casting or typical forging. So close in fact that they do not even require balancing pads because they can be forged within 3 to 4 gram of each other.
They are also a LOT stronger then most people give them credit for. Actually they can have a higher yeild and tensile strength then a comparable typical forging does.
Powdered metal. It's not just for breakfast anymore.
