Terry you say the 2.5 and the 3.0 have different rod lengths but they have the same part number?

...because the ford specs and the machine shop data
say they are....They are only the same if you overlap
the tolerances for length and get lucky with a rod in
the 'middle range'...I have sent the data sheets to
the guy doing the rods....The numbers are 'close' but
not the same.I'm inclined to say that when the
production of the 2.5 left USA and went to Europe ford
picked the closest rod to the 2.5 and now uses it as a
'spare part' for all....

How do you get lucky with a cast part?
