Adam, I'm sorry but Terry is giving you incorrect information. If he is getting this info from the service manual/CDROM then it is wrong. Would not be the first time the manual is wrong.
I have access to the print of the rod and that is where my dimensions came from. Where are your "actual Ford factory specs" from? Again, the 2.5L and 3.0L use the same rod. The wrist pin diameter is the same between the two. Only difference is that the 3.0L wrist pin is longer.
