This is absolutely, positively, 100% incorrect information. ALL 2.5L and 3.0L Duratecs use the same rod no matter if they are Escape, Taurus, Contour, Mondeo, or Lincoln LS. This rod has a center-to-center distance of 138.1 �± 0.040mm. And that's straight from the blueprint of the rod, folks.

The ONLY exeception to this rule is the 2.0L (yes, 2.0L) Duratec used by Jaguar. It is a basically a short stroke 2.5L. Unique piston, crank, and rod.
