I'll put my stamp of approval on ANY IBM laptop. Of all the laptops I see with problems, IBM's are the rarest.

Dell's are just too big, toshiba's are pretty bulky too but i'd take one over a dell.

I really don't like compaq AT ALL. Too many bad experiences over the years, though, HP's laptops I like, surprisingly considering they are now the same company. Stay away from anything with the presario name on it though. Garbage.
