I killed my rasp monster this week too!!! Worked most of the day Saturday to get two perforated glasspacks on there. Nice, deep sound at idle and a wicked RRRRRRRrrrrrrraaaaaaaappp at full song. Next up, trying to place an X-pipe...

Does anyone have engine codes go off when they install the msds headers? and does anyone make cams for this car? they include Check Engine Light Eliminator adaptors that go in where your O2 sensors are. It prevents it from throwing a CEL. About the cams, not sure.....I'm not quite at that step just yet! look around the site and see what you can find....

Man, that thing sounds awesome.[/b] I wonder who designed that exhaust?

The resonator is not going to kill all the rasp. Well not for me definitely! I tried that with no luck at all. Well, in my case, I didn't use a 'resonator'... I used a large-body 4.25x9.75 oval Ultra Flo SS muffler right in the center of the car. It does much more than one of those tiny bullets

Demon - my car has the stock main cat on it (i.e. quiet), so maybe that's why the headers aren't raspy on my car. Either way, I'm glad you like what you've got.

Yes that would be night & day different then No cats... Matter of fact it is - that's why I am happy with a high flow cat installed... Brad -I'll have to hear yours to believe it. 2 glasspacks & 2 mufflers only and no rasp under acceleration or no load revving! I bet the RAP sounds much worse outside the car??? My car always sounded great inside it, but outside was a completely different story. LoCoZetecPowa - No way in hell that would sound good on my car. I bet he has all 3 cats in order to pull that off or atleast the precats (they baffle so much noise it's unreal - now consider how much restriction that is!)

Well I have a question for the exhaust guru's.. A friend of mine has a pre 98 tour zetec and just put a magnaflow muffler (stainless fart can). We installed the muffler solo in the back and tryed it out no sound at all, he has stock exhaust.. So then we cut out the resonator, it now has a little growl. He is looking for a nice deep tone what would help his exhaust.. I was thinking possible bigger piping all the way from the flex pipe, but I dont know.. Advise please

the only time i ever had rasp was with my svt when i cut off the cat and resonator, my current exhaust setup is sweet looking, and sounds so damn sweet, loud and proud
