I must have totally lucked out because this is the best car I've ever bought

I posted recently that I had become a troll and traded in the Tour on a 1996 Riviera s/c. Today I picked her up after they had gotten her ready and detailed her.

Woodgrain kit coming soon. Old school baby!

Can you read this one? Fully loaded it seems

The dealership went WAY out of their way for me:
1: New tires all around *Uniroyals
2: New oil pan gasket
3: New oil
4: New air filter
5: New front brakes & turned rotors
6: Detailed the sh_t out of it

I've got the manual in front of me but so far I know it has
1: Heated front seat with 2 person memory setting
2: Sunroof
3: Built in garage door opener
4: The best stereo (from back then)
5: Auto climate control
6: Auto diming rearview mirror
7: Auto headlights
8: Traction control
9: Security system
10: Dual climate zone control

Heck there may be more...

Only 45K on the odometer all for $8500. I am currently at 10.9% but I'm going to my credit union once the first payment comes due and getting a loan for 6.5% (save about $800 over the life of the loan)

I'm more pleased than punch!....but I still miss the ole Tour too

Nice.

What temp do you have your auto climate set to? I have mine at 68.

Keep an eye on that dual zone system. The passenger control is prone to breakdowns.

There is one of those for sale were I live...only asking $4500...supercharged, white, the whole speal. My freind had a Riv....it was a 78 with a 403 in it. When we were 17 we stole it (it was his parents then) and drove it 500 miles to see WWF. We didn't know how bad it was burning oil then...took about 3 quarts to fill it up on the trip. Such a fun car....sigh.

Very good buy, hopefully you'll be happy with it a year from now. You'll wonder how you lived without conveniences like auto climate control, auto dimming mirror and heated seats.

It's not hard, I saw a pic of your system. It's a bit more functional than mine.

The only gripes I have with mine is that there is no "Econ" setting which shuts off the AC compressor. The system will run the compressor whenever the temp is above freezing to dehumidify the air. Also mine has no manual "recirc" feature either, it only runs recirc when max cooling is required although you can activate it by setting the thermostat to 60 degrees, the lowest setting. "Auto" will select the best airflow according to what the system thinks it needs but I also have panel, floor and bi-level manual override settings. Mine also has separate "Defog" and "Defrost" settings. Defog basically puts air to the windshield at the preset temp setting and Defrost puts max heat at max fan to the windshield.

I like the fan delay they programmed into the system, no sense in blowing freezing air although it gets overriden in "Defrost" mode, lol.

I noticed your system has a "Vent" and "Recirc" button, the "Vent" being like "Econ", probably shutting off the compressor but allowing the system to adjust the heating. And of course "Recirc" speaks for itself.
