Most people who own contours don't think that enough people care about it to even Think that it is special enough to have an enthisiast forum on it. That is why "people" don't belong to CEG.

Sure a mustang could whip most of our butts, but thankfully, we care about what other's cars look like, and not showing off how illegally fast they "could" go.

If no one cared, then you wouldn't get positive feedback either.
Negative feedback is as you said a way to "exchange ideas" and I have found
5 positive opinions to either make it look better or work properly. That is what we're here for

I think that this forum is so relaxed/family friendly and not full of censored threads or NWS's that we feel we can give our opinon because they'll understand that their little Ontour has potential.

Again that's only my .02

looks good, gefinitely needs lowered though, maybe a little more than normal due to the look of the low pro's, they do make the rims look smaller

Sorry, I don't go by the stupid titles.

Registration date (people like to treat the old men around here with respect) and the attitude you project on here are judgemental to the attitude you receive in return. There are "newbies" that come on here, though rarely, and know exactly what they're talking about, the problems they need help with, and praise those that help them out. Conversely, there's old fogeys around here that have been registered for four, five, hell...even six years (back before we rolled over to new servers) that still get an ass chewing every so often because they can't manage their attitude.

Of course, most of the veterans around here do know what they're talking about, and a lot of the newbies like to spout things and blow air up our rears thinking that we don't know the Contour from any other car on the road. Those are the ones that are treated, like you said, with disrespect until they learn the way things work around here.

This isn't directed to you entirely, but I skipped Chemistry class today so I'm bored and just felt the need to throw this out there. A couple of people as of late have been pissing me off.

I love the sense of humor in here... sigh. See what makes me upset is the following. You purchase a car which you plan on spending an indefinite amount of time with, modding it, driving it, racing it, whatever... and you look forward to joining a forum where you can learn and exchange information with other owners of the same type of vehicle, but you are seldom welcomed if you show the slightest lack of knowledge on what you are driving.

The impression that me as well as everyone that is new in this forum is getting, is the fact that you need to go to a Countour University, learn everything in the book about the car, then come in and register to post, when it should really be the other way around. People come to forums to learn, not expect to get bashed for not knowing things that they should or are "expected to" for that matter. As far as making forum searches before posting I agree, but sometimes there are things that require exclusive attention that is not adressed in the search results.

Regarding procharger's situation, I approached him with an insightful post that showed a proportioned way to compare his tires to something that would work better, rather than bashing him for "not knowing his shyt" and straight up telling him that his wheels look like a "Civic setup". There are just ways to go about saying things, that's all. Sometimes newbies might have general mechanics knowledge, sometimes no knowledge about cars at all. Still makes no restriction for them or "us" to come into a forum and find out information. Making it sound as if the post count meant superiority & shyt... not cool.

If it was that sort of forum, just kick and ban everyone out whom you don't want posting. Period.
