iam not saying lets beat mustangs, i have been to more forums where people respect others ideas instead of you need to do this and that and that looks like and you should have. i remember when our parents told us as we grew up " if you dont have something nice to say dont say nothing at all". thats how all the treads go down the dump.

It's all either fun and games or critisism, If someone isn't willing to take that then don't post pics. Sure there are a few people that don't like others, but for the most part we jsut try to help eachother out.

I just read the ENTIRE thread. I found two posts a bit harsh, but all the others were either positive, poking fun, or offering constructive critisism. IMHO none were outright slamming you or your car.
I really like the color combo too. I'm just not used to seeing such a small overall diameter tire on a Contour. On the plus side, the smaller diameter wheels/tires will give you a better mechanical advantage at the drag strip. That is always a good bonus.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

ok i know the tire are too small i will take care of ASAP. the deal was to good to pass i didnt ask about the size till after the paperwork was rolling. its been 9 years since i had a tire this small all my cars have had 245/45-315/35 in 17s & 18s. i have to get use to front wheel drive cars too. after my 89 SHO and the problems with it the car left a bad taste about all front wheel drive cars i swore i would never own another one. then this $400 car fell in my hands.

That's understandable. One thing I have learned since joining CEG is that you'll understand many of the members much better when you meet them in person. I used to think some of the W. Great Lakes regulars were crazy sonsa--- Until I met them in person and I realized its all true. Wait... that's not what I meant... ah crap nevermind

Same with some of the EGL guys, but it's all fun. Espicially when Steeda has had a couple tall ones...

I understand where procharger is coming from though. There are a good amount of ppl on this site that could take some notes.
I for one come here for the exchanging of advice, know how, tips, etc. Some days I gain know how, other days I give it. Thats the beauty of this site. To be able to help and learn at the same time. But on the other hand some ppl put a new meaning to the word constructive criticism.

Last I checked my post was a note of advice and technical data to help you choose your tires wisely. Therefore I will not take offense to your post since I know it's not directed at me. I feel you about the negative feedback, but most of it is harsh joking and only lasts while you are a newbie for the most part. So just ride it out and be cool... you'll be alright.
