A definite good Buy... i dont think you need a Chip but of course everything is a plus.

Something to think about is your stock Y-pipe is big to keep all that heat in. This pipe wraps right around your oil pan, which will increase heat. Some people are just finding this out, and some have taken care of this problem like I have.
I had Jet Hot Ceramic Coat the pipe to insulate any excessive heat (decreased by 25-30%). I think others have either custom made a heat shield or wrapped it with Thermo-Tec.
