I have told the Linc/Merc reps for years that they are missing the boat. I actually had a L/M rep swear at me "You don't a F'ng thing". Becuase I told them they screwed up the Lincoln LS. I mean come one, you get a manual with the V-6 and not he V-8? Then no MTX in the Milan. I told them that they will only sell a few thousand but he exposure and owner loyalty would ad up over the years. And you would be considered an Enthusaist vehicle.

But of course, they don't listen to use the consumer.

Way to go Bill! Yep perfect business world attitude! Tellt hem what the customer wants and they'll do the opposite! I hate marketing, why did I get a degree in it!

CD4E should be toast. Ford has got that new 6-speed auto in the 500/Montego which should go in the Milan.

Ford is only doing what its competitors are doing. Is there a stick shift V-6 Camry? I don't think the Accord can be a standard V-6 either? I think even Nissan is dropping the stick shift Maxima due to less than 1% of its sales being the 6 speed manual. The only company I know of offering a stick shift V-6 sedan is Pontiac, but who wants to drive a Grand Am or GTP? New model interior looks hideous. Makes the simple Contour interior look like a BMW.

Um, Mazda?

Sticks account for 20-35% of their US sales, depending on model, significantly more than any other large manufacturer in the US.

And there is no V6 MTX Camry, and the Accord is only available in V6 MTX if you get the coupe.

It will be using the 6-speed automatic, as is currently used in the Five Hundred/Montego and the 6.

I still think the people who decided not to offer a stick shift need to stop using their heads as suppositories.
