Remove the res....its pointless
my .02 cents....also a little hint....also saves a little money...if you want to do Borla....go buy 2 XR-1 mufflers and two tips and than go to a muffler shop and ask them to put on the 2 mufflers and tips and remove the res....It is kinda raspy but after its heated up its gone...If i was doing it i would do it without Res
