Let's clear this up. I have been involved with a few of these conversions.

The late SVT front calipers are the same as the non SVT front calipers. They require a unique caliper bracket. The early SVT uses a different caliper and another unique bracket.

What is needed to install the larger rotor on your SE is the caliper bracket from a late SVT or a 99 and newer Cougar with the large brakes (most if not all of the V6 Cougars had the same front brakes as the late SVT).

The factory 15" wheels fit over the larger brakes. Your spare tire will not so you will either need to use the spare on the rear and move a rear to the front if you have a front flat or you will need to get a spare from an SVT or a Cougar. The spare from a Focus may fit as well and would be worth checking out.

The larger rotors do wonders to helping the rotors to last longer as well as improving braking quality. It is a very worthy upgrade.
