I think they meant aftermarket, since lowering springs will eventually ruin stock struts. If your old struts are not in great shape, this would be the time to swap, but otherwise you should be fine, I have 80k since I replaced mine with OEM, and they are fine. It's just unusual for a CEGer to get new OEM spec springs.
