The little rocker sill on my rear driver side is loose, and i wish to use a floor jack to lift the rear end off the ground, and to gain access to area around the wheel arch. Since im not a complete noob, i did some research, and found a post:

" You should have no problems jacking up a stock SVT, hell mine is even lowered and I have no problems. I use a floor jack. Just take out the inserts and roll the jack underneath the car. Right behind the skirt is a metal seam that has a groove cut into it. Jack it up by that seam. Then put a jack stand on the seam and remove the jack. " (JonnySVT)

Sounds pretty good, but i was just wonderin if you guys could confirm that.

Thanks for the help

That's the correct place - the body seam with a notch cut out of it that you will see when you remove the jack point cover.

But as for fitting a jack under a lowered car I don't agree (mine's lowered a little over 1" and I need to drive onto a piece of wood before I can fit my jack under it).

Mine fits under the car just fine

I envy you people that can lower your car... I wouldn't be able to get up my driveway

Move

My street has been resurfaced so I have maybe an inch for the curb. I still have to watch other places, usually have to approach at an angle.

There is a spot right before the split in the exhast, slightly to the left, where a large flat area of the rear subframe is exposed. If you approach it straight on with the jack, you can lift the whole rear end at once, and then place the stands on the sides as described earlier.
