flashing CEL indicates a misfire..

misfires are caused from a lack of spark, fuel or compression.

Start with the easiest things to do. Check the codes.... even though your IMRC is failing, find out the codes for the other stuff, then let us know what it is..

I know you said you changed the plugs, but the questions I would have are:

Which plugs did you use? Should have been Autolite APP764 (double plats) or the OEM motorcraft equivalent..
Stay away from the Bosch +4's or any of that other crap out there.

Did you gap the plugs before you put them in? 0.054-0.056 is the standard gap on these plugs.

Once plugs are taken care of, then lets move on to wires.. When is the last time those were changed? You didn't mention changing them, and that many Km's on the wires would be hell on them.. (OEM motorcraft replacements are the most preferred, followed by Ford 9mm Racing wires)

now that wires are covered, are you sure you have spark?

Fuel injector's could be stuck, even after cleaner was used, though I wouldn't jump on that right away..

For now, lets start with that.. get those codes read, and be sure to bring back the NUMBER of the code, not the description they tell you.(Autozone does it for free.. other places do too)
