I am going for an oil change tomorrow.
What type of oil should I bring? People have been telling me to get Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil 5W30.
Thanks Derek

I would recommend Mobil 1 5w30 full synthetic. It is what I use and I love the stuff. They just came out with Mobil 1 Super Synthetic also, can't wait til my next oil change to try it. Mobil 1 is what Ford recomends for most of their high performance vehicles and it is what is also used in quite a few race car including some formula 1 I think.

i want same oil all the time. My Zetec gets pretty warm no matter when I drive it. Is 5w-30 or 10w-30 the best to go with?

10w-30 is for higher mileage engines. So it depends on your mileage. If it's "normal" for the year or your car, go with 5w-30. Only diff is 10-30 is slightly thicker. Doesn't really matter when it comes down to it. Just pick one and stay with it.

5w-30 is the weight recommended by Ford, so that's the weight I use.
