In my younger, reckless days I MIGHT have tried to stop things after the first punch or two. Only waiting because I wouldn't have thought things would come to that.
Knowing what I know now, & considering what I & my family have to lose if that guy turns full fury against me, I would (at most) have tried to get the smaller guy out of the store for his own sake, if anything. Can't reason with the typical person any more. Too many animalistic tendencies these days. It's just disgusting how mindless and reactionary the average person is getting.
Things like that make me think how much better things would be for everybody if MLK could have lived to a ripe old age. He was out to better the nation, not to simply line his own pockets.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Another thing that might have prevented people from helping is race. Wasn't it also Ohio where it took a hail of bullets to bring down a similarly sized black guy who was high on PCP??

I don;t know about you..but my friends would never let a guy who is much bigger than me, or no matter what size beat the hell out of me. Back in my bar days I witnessed a friend of mine defend another against a guy twice his size and it was a close fight. Size doesn't always matter. Look at Tye Domi from the Maple leafs...he is not a big guy. I am thinking if that guy saw the first one coming, it might have been a different story.
Then again, there are more people carrying guns and anything can happen.

Meh, maybe the other people didn't help the dude because they didn't much care for him.
Maybe because he was blabbing away on his cell phone and smoking in that little pizza shop like a tool. Maybe the cell phone guy was being an a$$ as well.
We don't really know a ton about the situation.
