Looked like he busted though the door and cold cocked him to me. Not sure what video you watched. Even with five other ppl I'm not doing anything against a guy that size w/o a weapon. And what words are you you going use on him? Excuse me sir but could you stop punching that other gentleman. LMFAO! The only way I'm going to do something in a situation like that is if the guy was close to my size. And I know you'd do the same no matter what you say.

You have to admit, though, shock can do a lot to make the onlookers freeze. Call it the "WTF?" effect. And the report said that the lady also went after the manager who was trying for de-escalation, if I remember correctly.

I think going up against drug dealers w/guns, as well as having encountered 300lb. monsters in my life personally qualifies me to say what I said.  Would I have directly engaged the big guy? No! I wouldn't have even let it come to that. Like I said. The events happend in a time frame that allowed measures to be taken. Look at the tape again. It was edited. We're talking minutes here not seconds. I guess I'm just one of those people that see things differently.

Exactly, these people would not be reasoned with, they were looking for a fight. Anyone who would have stepped in to try to neutralize the situation would have simply been beaten to a pulp.

All I'm saying is that it's just getting pretty freakin' disgusting watching news all the time where people could do something as opposed to idly standing by. It happens time and time again. You don't need to be a hero for goodness sake. But watching crimes being committed because one doesn't want to get involed is just another reason our society is going to crap. You see vids like this all the time on the news now and it's just sickening. I don't even watch T.V. news anymore. You just get force fed bad news all the time.
From what i learned in psychology it's not an intentional response not to do something. It has to do with some of the Same reason that hostages in Russia were unable to do anything to the terrorists that held them in the theatre.
Or why when someone has a gun to your head and you know they are about to kill you, you STILL stand there or are still on ur knees praying for something rather than action.
An acion that was seen on that tape is almost surreal, paralyzing for bystanders comprehending what is going on.

Apparently, the thing that instigated all this, according to CNN was when the man said ""i'm gonna be a little late some lady in camoflauge just jumped in front of us." into his cellphone, the woman overheard and started going nuts.
