Did you replace the bulb? The bulb may either be loose or defective. Just go ahead and replace it if you haven't already.
It very well may fix your problem.
If it doesn't then you may have a wiring problem, and unless you're handy with car electrical systems and have some electrical testing equipment, I'd take it to a mechanic.
Your turn signal switch may be bad also, but I doubt it.
