I have to do this with both of my Linksys setups(pc/ps2). But like you said its just a matter of unplugging and re-pluggin back in.

The Logitech driving Force-pro someone mention seems to be the best, as it has a special 900 degree for GT4 specificaly. Though I hate to buy 2 wheels, as that only works for ps2.
