Here's hoping the UPS man visited EB before lunch. Granted, I won't be able to play it yet, but everyone and their mother is going to be there after work and I have to go way out of my way through traffic to get there anyhow.

Well I went to EBGames today at 10am, when they opened. They don't have the game in yet, the guy says they might come in today, or they might be getting shipped today and will be here tomorrow.
Whatever happened to having a game on the day it was released??? Is it because of the store not being high on the priority list of places to get the game? I have it pre-ordered, and I am wondering why I even bothered?

The NOS function is almost non-existant. It doesn't make a huge difference when you have it installed and push the button.

The manager at my EB store specifically told me last week that he had just been notified that instead of shipping today, he would actually be receiving today.
I think EB had been planning on not operating their warehouse on Monday since it was a holiday, but when they saw that every other retailer was going to be giving out their copies, they decided to do whatever they could to get them in the stores.
But, still, retailers call this the "Ship Date" to protect them. Even if they were shipped out overnight yesterday there's no way to be sure that your store will actually get their copies.
I probably should have done the smart thing and reserved at GameSpot instead of EB, considering that their HQ and main warehouse is about 6 blocks from my house.

I believe they're using fedex. A guy I know is going to pick the games up today at 5pm and drive back to statesboro from savannah to supply our EB games. So around 6pm-7pm they'll be selling here tonite. They got 20 extra on top of pre-orders.
