In a way, you might say that the SVT already has a mild port and polish job. That is sort of what the extrude hone process does, without making the surface too smooth.
There is more art than science to porting. Things that work on one engine design may not work on others. It is largly a trial and error process. If you are an amatuer, it is best to stick with matching ports to gaskets and only very mild polishing and perhaps the very lightest of work in the valve bowls and multiple valve seat angles.
