your wrong about that!!!! the ect works to help the computer determine the temp of the engine, to help it determine wether the car needs more or less gas,to add or pull timing.......so yes it does have alot to do with the cars computer....ceebee, you wont change it fast enough not to lose any coolant but if done quickly you'll only lose a small amount...it comes down to wether or not you wont coolant on the floor/ground...
