Why are you even comparing a family sedan to a sport coupe? They aren't in the same class, serve the same needs or have ANYTHING else in common save for four wheels and metal.
No, but you'd think that the similarly-priced sport coupe would offer at least speed over the family sedan if nothing else. Something in a performance category over the family sedan parked next to it on the dealer lot (when the Fusion hits the lots, that is). Speed is what a sport coupe, and more particularly a pony car, is supposed to offer isn't it?
The only thing the V6 'Stang offers is Looks -- a category the new 'Stang in particular excels at. Let's face it, if you want the look of a pony car, the Mustang is the only option left anymore. The downside to the desire to own a car that looks fast is that the owners tend to think they are fast. If I had a dime for every V6 Mustang owner who either 1> Talked to me about how fast their car was, or 2> Talked to me about how dissapointed they were in their 'Stang because it was so slow, or 3> Just looked at me like they were the hottest [censored] on the planet, I'd be a very wealthy man.

I could bring up twenty different cars besides the Mazda 3/6 that run times similar to the Mustang V6; it still doesn't mean jackshit.
I never said that there wasn't any more cars. I just picked the two cars that I owned because I know what they run in the 1/4 and they run about the same price. I could have picked the even faster Altima, but I wanted something with a smaller engine, and that was a Ford product, to further emphasize the point.
If there's one thing you're consistent at, it's missing the point of things. You've got to be one of the densest people around. I don't know how to make it any clearer for you, so maybe if I put it in Bold you'll understand:
It's funny that Ford's (virtually) own 3.0L-V6-powered Mid-Size 4-Door FWD Family Sedan is faster and handles better than the its' own similarly-priced 4.0L-V6-powered RWD Sport Coupe.
I didn't say my car/s was/were "better", I said that it was "ironic"/funny that the numbers bore out the way that they did, considering the cars I was comparing.

BTW, the irony here is that a majority of those V6 Mustang owners are females looking for a cruiser, not a racer. So this speak of "thinking they [the V6 owners] have the fastest cars on the road" isn't supported very well save for those that are just attempting to form a mask over the fact that they just don't like the Mustang.
Get one thing straight -- I like the Mustang.
If not for my serious dislike of the interior, I would own a new GT right now; and am still halfway considering it. I also firmly believe that the V6 Mustang has a definite and legitimate place in their lineup -- it would be stupid to deny that seeing that it makes up 76% of the sales. But you've got to be seriously deluded and downright blind to not see the attitude that the vast majority of the V6 owners have. And to be fair, I will say male V6 owners because it's pretty rare to find that attitude amongst the women -- at least not so obviously made.
It's not exactly an isolated opinion held by amongst a small minority of anti-'Stang car enthusiasts. I've heard it from countless other people who don't really care one way or the other about cars from other friends, to my coworkers, and even my wife.
