I went to Midas yesterday to get my tranny flushed and it took them like 20 mins to do becuase they jkust got a new flusher like a week ago and i'm kinda worried. I paid 99.95 for the service and I hope the machine actually flushed out my tranny. What do you guys think. Do you think I couldve done better? Thanks in advance.

You could have done it yourself in your driveway with the help of a friend for less than $40

If it was truely flushed then you generally did a good thing...as long as the valve body is not worn out!!!!!

Before I had min flused I did a drain and refill 3 times to try and clear the old fluid out. Even after I did this, I then went to have a power flush done and their was a good portion of the fluid that was very dark! Of course I power flushed after I installed the Shift correction kit.

How does the fluid look? That's the main way to tell how well it got flushed. Twenty minutes does sound a little short do do a complete flush, but it is possible, depending on the machine and how well the operator has been trained.

Well it was their first time using it ever so I dont know what the hell they did. The fluid seems to be a little gritty but it doesnt smell burnt so maybe it is flushed. Plus I didnt want to do a drain and refill 2-3 times. its too much. I'd rather do a one time flush and thats it. At 55k I did a drain and refill but not since then until last sat. I got 87k on it now and I know how the CD4e's are and I hope I can get 140k+ out of it.Maybe at another 20k ill do the flush again to ensure that the fluid is out.

When I worked at Jiffy Lube, I did the tranny flushes and it only took me about 20 min or so and the fluid flowed clean. The machine just hooks your tranny up to a bigger fluid reservoir that your trannys oil pump pumps though itself and pumps the old fluid into a seperate reservoir. The reservoirs are in the same cylinder but are seperated by a piston.

I have had my tranny flushed like 4 times already. Took about 30 mins at Jiffy Lube.
