Well I haven't tried this yet on the contour but on my 96 cobra I ported the stock MAF in a similar fashion to the pics above, cutting the post and using a die grinder on the rest. On the dyno I picked up 8rwhp from the MAF mod alone. Still not enough increase in power to feel the difference in the butt-o-meter.
I've been running it for several months now with no drivability issues.
