I've been deciding whether or not to do this for three years now and I finally had it done Friday, along with some 3 1/2 inch stainless steel tips. I replaced it with a Magnaflow resonator from Stazi. I have the SVT dual exhaust, also. I am VERY impressed with the sound. As soon as I start it up it let's out a much louder snarl. Nothing ricey here. Initial launches feel almost the same, but mid-range and high RPM's are greatly improved. I really didn't expect to gain any ponies, but it has to be quicker. I also have the Superchip installed for a few years now and I was able to rev to 7,000 in first gear, but then it would shift into second. NOW, it rev's to 7,500, the redline (not a good thing to do...don't do this often), but anyway, it scared the hell out of me last night when I stepped on it to test the new resonator and the needle jumped to 7,500 in first gear. Anyone else experience this? Is this normal? I mean, I know quite a bit about mods, but I can't figure why it revs high besides the fact that the exhaust flows better now. Is the stock res. THAT restrictive?

Anyway, that's my lastest experience with my newest mod.
