I would have to disagree w/ the potato sound, but that is just an opinion.
As far as the diam. it is 2.25 and yes the stock pipe is 2.25. I was very upset when I received my exhaust and saw that it was the same size after seeing the 2.5 stated on spmotorsports. I called Borla and they said that ALL of there systems regardless of car are the stock diam. It is the mandrel bends and the straight through design that they get there gains(little or big) from. (Just a quote from the tech on the phone) Like I said b4 I have had mine for over 2yrs and would never take it off, and if I bought another contique (svt or not) I would buy it again, unless I was going forced induction.
