OD of the tips is somewhat irrelevant, 3" or 3.5" who cares, except in the context of how it all looks? ID is still 2" as measured off of my own system. Pipe ahead of the rear split, I could have sworn it was 2.5"? Stock SVT is 2.25" so what gives?

And I have to agree, everyone uses the low end quite a bit. I can see winding it up for "best launch" in a drag race, but who wants to do that at every stop light, just to stay ahead of that Tercel in the next lane? Day-to-day, low-end means "driveability."
