I betcha the SVT was the better handling car, but its just a guess.

Positives for the SVT:
Much better handling out of the box. Better overall feel in terms of handling and steering response.

Positives for the SRT:
Handling is close to that of the SVT. With the LSD, you can lay the power down mid-corner and REALLY rip out of the corner with authority. Lighter weight gives it a little better side to side transitions.

Really, they are set up differently, however, I think that the SRT has more room to explore power, and with a grand into the suspension it'll be on/above par with that of the SVT. Also, the other positives of the SRT are better gas mileage (21-22mpg city with a lot of boosting), more interior space and beefier tranny/axles.

I loved my SVT, and it surprised many people with the overall ability of the car. 157mph with 5 people in the car, cornering at over 1G w/ Azenis tires, Intrax and Bilsteins, all while getting great gas mileage and sounding fantastic.

Both cars are a great buy... and the SVT still shines today.

Noice, love the color. Did you sell the SVT or trade-in?
