Andy.
It's fair for what it is, maybe a little over the top. I remember paying $500 for my clutch job, and my mechanic had told me that the header job looked worst than that, so it's probably about right. I am hiring a CEGer to do them for me for $300 with a 2-day turn-around time, but he is in the Miami area, otherwise I would recommend him to you too. Maybe there is a good mechanic here from Minnesota that can offer you an install quote that can save you money. Shop around...

Isn't blackcoog from Minnesota? Not sure if he has any spare time on his hands, but I'd be willing to be he'd be lower than $600.00!!

It's really only about a 6 hour job even if you're not familiar with the car so that sounds pretty high. I'd look for something the $400 range to be a lot more respectable from a regular shop.

Was probably the amount for the SE. I received a quote for my clutch job at $200.00 but then after having my car towed there the twat head goes "Oh but yours is a special model SVT that one is about a bazillion dollars more..." I had only repeated "SVT" to him about nine times...
