Cost of the Y-pipe by itself is $150. Not worth that, IMO, but...

Cost of optimizing the stock Y? I've heard figures anywhere from $50 to $105, and furthermore it either requires taking the car to a shop or buying a stock Y out of the classifieds or a junkyard and taking that to a shop, which adds to the cost.

So, you figure spending $40 now for an MSDS Y and you ought to be able to sell it for at least $50, if not more, depending on the cost of custom exhaust work in a given area, based on the fact that despite the kink and despite being "out-flowed" by an opti-stocker, the power figures are about the same, and based on the convenience of a quick bolt-on...
