Hi guys,
I took my resonator off my 2000 SVT, in the hopes of achieving a louder, more agressive sound. Well, after doing so, it is definitely louder, and deeper. But I have a TERRIBLE rasp. I'd like to let you here it, but I don't have means to do so. First check this link out and listen to the sound clip...

Now, my rasp is about 3-4 times WORSE than that. The only mods I have is the resonator, and a KKM intake. It seems to get a little better/quieter/bearable once the exhaust warms up, but I'm hesitant to accelerate aggressively, because I'm almost to the point of being embarrassed at the sound of my car. IT'S NOT A RICE BURNER. And I don't want it to sound like one.

So I guess my question is, What is causing this? I'm no gearhead, but my guess is that with my intake and no resonator, I'm trying to force way too much air through the stock SVT mufflers, and they can't handle it. Thus the chambers inside my mufflers are rattling. Is this correct? I was thinking of purchasing a Cat-Back system for it, but don't know which one will give me the deepest sound, with the least amount of rasp. I'm willing to sacrifice some loudness if I can achieve a great sound with no rasp.

Any ideas you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated! And I apologize in advance if there were already posts on this subject, I'm a very busy person and unfortunately have trouble finding the time to search through all the posts.

And one more question... I noticed that the Borla Cat-Back is designed for 98-99 SVTs. Will it not work with 2000 SVTs?
