not much you can do about traffic in hartford in the morning. if you can avoid 91 above hartford do it, but you will because you are coming down 84 to 91
not sure about the rest of 91 in the morning as I head the other way. but it is bound to be slow at the interchange to 15
now I do know south bound parkway does tend to slow. watch out in hamden area at the tunnel but most of the problems are past Sikorsky so you should have to worry about it
as for avoiding, not really unless you want to come down 395 to 95 and come up the coast, but 95 is normally busy also in the NYC bound direction
just give yourself plenty of time. 84, 91 and 15 where you will be driving normally more at a decent rate, even with alot of traffic on the road.
but on the other side I am at work at 8 and pass Sikorsky around 5 on my way home, if you are still in the area
